About the Park

In 1542, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo stepped into history as the first European to set foot on what is now know the West Coast of the United States. The park home is full of culture and natural resources.


Points of Interest

Hiking, Tide pooling, visit the lighthouse, military housing, whale watching, and museum. Guided tours are available by park services. Youth can become Junior RangersBook and souvenir store available on site.

No lodging onsite, various lodging sites located within the City of San Diego.


Park Hours & Fees

Park opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no reservations required Park fees vary from walk-ins $3, vehicles and motorcyclist $5, passenger tour vehicles from $30 - $100
